Toi Te Ora Public Health aims to reduce the impact and incidence of tobacco related harm. Designated smokefree officers hope to achieve this by:
- Carrying out controlled purchase operations (CPOs) to identify retailers selling tobacco products to underage person/s
- Inspecting licensed premises and workplaces to check for Smokefree compliance
- Assisting organisations and individuals with issues around the Smokefree Environments Act 1990.
