Toi Te Ora’s Health Protection Officers provide a range of services relating to the sale and supply of liquor, including:

  • Reporting on new license and renewal applications
  • Monitoring alcohol related problems and issues such as drink driving, alcohol promotions and the host responsibility auditing of liquor licensed premises
  • Working alongside district licensing agencies and police to support liquor policies and support licensees to make improvements and overcome problems
  • Host responsibility training, advice and information for staff of licensed premises.
